Schedule with Community Manager or Community Manager Assistant: All moves that require the use of an elevator for an extended period of time must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance with the Community Manager.
Moving Hours: 8 AM to 8 PM, any day of the week.
Deposit: A refundable deposit of $500 in the form of a personal check, payable to 7 Patton Avenue Residential Association, is required prior to moving out (no deposit is required for move-in). Management will keep the deposit until the move is complete and the property is inspected for any damage. If any damage is observed, the deposit will be used toward the repairs. If the repairs needed exceed the deposit amount, the Unit Owner will be charged for the remainder of the damage. The Community Manager will arrange for an inspection prior to and after all move-in or move-out.
Supervision: The Community Manager does not remain with the movers for access or supervision. That is the responsibility of the Owner. If your unit is rented with a rental agent, the rental agent will generally handle the Owner's move-in/move-out responsibilities. Note that all 10th floor rentals, including move-in and move-out activities, are managed by Arras Residences Vacation Rentals (Caitlyn Ihnat).
Moving Van Parking: Reservation Required with City of Asheville Parking Services - 72 hours in advance - at 828-259-5792.
There is a loading zone located on College Street. Trucks/vans must park in the loading zone.
The condo owner needs to call Parking Services 72 hours in advance at 828-259-5792 and let them know the date and estimated times that the moving truck will be there. They will then issue a “closure” to the spot for the given date and time. Failure to do so has resulted in the issuance of a fine by city Parking Services.
Elevator Usage: There is no freight elevator so the elevator used for moving must be taken out of service and reserved for that purpose. Therefore, the move must be as coordinated and efficient as possible. It is the Unit Owner’s responsibility to work with their respective moving company to ensure this.
Elevator D: Elevator D shall be used as the primary elevator for all moves.
Elevator A: Elevator A shall only be used on a single trip basis (with "staging" as further defined in the elevator section) unless prearranged with the Community Manager.
Protective Pads: Once scheduled, the Community Manager or Assistant Community Manager will ensure the protective elevator pads are hung in the appropriate elevator. Do not use the elevator unless the pads are in place. Security will pad and remove pads from elevator D or A for scheduled move-in, move-out, delivery (where it is deemed that padding is required).
Move Completion:
Moving Boxes: Moving boxes should NOT be placed in the parking garage cardboard receptacle. Due to the quantity, please break them down and take them to the dumpster room located in the basement.
